Of all the accomplishments of smart phones – the rate of iOS and Android device adoption has surpassed that of any consumer technology in history, according to a report released last August by the analytics firm Flurry – my personal favorite is the fact that they are now officially the all-time best item ever for boredom relief. Whether on a short bus ride or a cross-country flight, waiting patiently in a doctor’s office or breathlessly at a midnight console launch, mobile games have become the quintessential time killers for when people actually have, you know, time to kill.
